Acrylic Painting Explanations
My acrylic paintings are often 3-dimensional. I build trees, landscapes, and animals using various mediums including crushed walnut shells and molding pastes to build up the surface before adding acrylic paints. My preference is to use a wrapped canvas and other paintings are done on panels mounted on wooden frames.
My wild creatures are created on Dura-lar surfaces and glued onto 1/8” Masonite boards for ease of framing.
